Marcus Christ’s Return of the Beast is a powerful album that ensures that fans will be provided with a backstory about a tremendous performer from Compton. Let These Niggas Know comes through with an assertive flow and a realistic view of the streets. The production’s sweeping synthesizers and cash machine-like percussion provide proper highlighting through this introductory effort, giving Return of the Beast a strong boost to its’ early-album momentum.
Every track on the album, “Return of the Beast” is solid, some of my favorites include “Let These Niggas Know”, “Laying It Down”, “I Knew This Girl”, “She Needs a Soldier” and “You Know What I’m Saying” one of the realest tracks Marcus has written.
Music on this album covers many different topics and many different emotions. If there’s a facet of the human experience that’s left uncovered on this release, I can’t think of it.
Marcus Christ’s currently in talks with a publisher for his upcoming book and has released a single on YouTube, “The Weekend,” from his new upcoming album “Prince of the Universe”. The concept for the album came to him while struggling with new ordeals such as trying to get fed, physical confrontations, and generally being somewhere he didn’t want to be while in jail.
MtB Entertainment’s artist Marcus Christ promises to give fans something they won’t forget. He comes from the Washington, DC area, but now he lives Compton in Los Angeles county. His mother is from Southeast, DC, and his father is from Compton, Ca. Marcus Christ was exposed to music at a young age, and excelled as a self-proclaimed “prodigy”, Marcus Christ is known for his honest unapologetic viewpoint. He was part of a rap group in high school called “46 Lane” where we appreciated music. He was introduced to music production in the US Air Force with the owner of Mad Cow Production. Marcus Christ released a mixtape in 2005 with a single called “Mommy got some problems” which created some buzz.
Marcus Christ currently was released from jail after going on a short car chase with local police officers. He claims he wanted to “get home safely”, but easily admits he could have done it with better form. Marcus Christ has recorded over 50 songs in the last 5 years, but has published close to 100 songs. He has written 4 albums, and is currently working on his first album since his release from jail. His last release album Return of the Beast was hampered by a lengthy jail sentence, and now his new album promises to attract attention titled “Prince of the Universe”.
