The Steampunk World’s Fair is not just the world’s largest ticketed Steampunk event – it’s also one of the friendliest Steampunk events anywhere, and one of the most unusual, too. The thing that made us happiest about last year was not that we had over 4,000 attendees–but that with all those people, the biggest thing we heard was “This is such a welcoming place!”, and “This place feels like home.”

UNLIKE MOST LARGE STEAMPUNK EVENTS (and if you’re new to Steampunk, this community has some fantastic events!) – We’re a *festival*, not a convention. We are full of more music and shows and entertainment than anyone else! (Though we have fewer panels) We are a rousing event which combines the wild magic of a festival with the warm cordiality of a movement based on whimsy and creative joys.

The World’s Fair has a vast amount of space for you to explore! We’re indoors and outdoors! We have two great lovely hotels and wonderful tents and outdoor adventures! Last year, we had a sudden unplanned parking lot party for 2,000 people, where several of our bands got together in one spontaneous jam! It was fantastically great!

THIS YEAR’S STEAMPUNK WORLD’S FAIR is doing something we’re calling “We Interrupt This Steampunk World’s Fair…” We’re working on a series of unexpected delights, which will pop up throughout the entire weekend….but more on that later.

We’re thrilled to have amazing people like K.W. Jeter, the man who coined the term “Steampunk”, as well as many other really great things, and Steam Powered Giraffe, whose music videos have made us covet their attendance for longer than we can remember. And we’re looking forward to bringing you another ridiculously large all-you-can-experience buffet of splendid, splendid things!
