trees has put together a record that reflects the current interrelation of musical sounds taking place. It’s a fusion of post-rock, electronic and hip-hop soundscapes, while pushing lyricism as the primary driving force. trees has a story to tell, “Patti” takes words and morphs them into sounds providing a mix of digital and mechanical warmth.

MORE ABOUT: After being born into a post-soviet Armenia, trees moved around other shaken countries such as Ukraine and Russia.  Settling down in the greater Toronto area, and going to university in Ottawa, Canada, trees has a diverse influence of musical and cultural inspiration.

Our sound draws influence from the likes of electronic, hip-hop, and post rock musicians such as Shigeto, Toro Y Moi, Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, and Explosions in the Sky. In addition to music, trees creates visual art and poetry, and is on the path to becoming the greatest polymath of his generation.
