At just 26, Jerusalem-born LeviX is already making waves in the melodic house and EDM scene. Honing his craft in the studios of Tel Aviv, this producer and DJ has cultivated a signature style that masterfully blends enchanting melodies with an undeniable motivational pulse. His debut album, the aptly titled “Flying Thoughts,” serves as a compelling showcase of his artistic evolution. LeviX’s music delves into profound themes, such as the enigmatic nature of time, often evoking deep emotional resonance through a fascinating interplay of human and artificial intelligence in his production process. Join us as we unravel the creative threads behind LeviX’s soaring sound and his vision for the future.

  1. “Flying Thoughts” is your debut album—what was the driving inspiration behind this project, and how does it define where you are creatively?

LeviX: “Flying Thoughts” was born out of a long and intense period of inner questioning. I’ve been in a state of constant reflection—thinking deeply about life, where it’s heading, and whether I’ll ever truly find a way out of the emotional abyss I often feel trapped in. The album captures those moments of doubt, of floating between hope and despair, of trying to make sense of a chaotic inner world. Creatively, this project represents a raw and honest snapshot of where I am right now—searching, uncertain, but still creating music as a way to process it all and maybe, just maybe, rise above it.

  1. The album explores the theme of finding oneself in a chaotic world. Was this concept inspired by personal experiences, or does it reflect a broader societal commentary?

LeviX: Yes, it definitely comes from personal experiences. Living in the country I live in isn’t exactly easy—the reality here is very complex, and that makes the whole creative process even more challenging.
Beyond that, I’ve always been the kind of person who struggles to adapt to the typical, banal way of living that most people seem to accept—same jobs, same clothes, same routines. I’ve always felt a strong aversion to that kind of life.

  1. You’ve blended EDM and pop influences throughout the album. How did you balance the high-energy elements with the introspective, emotional themes in your lyrics?

LeviX: That’s exactly the point—what I love most is creating a contrast where the listener hears an upbeat melody, whether it’s dance music or melodic house that feels energetic, but the lyrics take them to a completely different place. For example, in the track Into the Abyss, the song talks about whether I’ll ever be able to escape this emotional abyss, but the music itself is very rhythmic and full of energy.

  1. Which track do you feel best encapsulates the emotional core of the album, and why?

LeviX: The track that I believe best represents the emotional core of this project is actually the intro song, called 4AM. It’s a track about the anxiety, thoughts, and fears that tend to rise during the late-night hours, and in many ways, it captures my life more accurately than anything else on the album.

  1. The title “Flying Thoughts” evokes a sense of movement and contemplation. How does this name encapsulate the journey the listener is taken on?

LeviX: The album title was created from the feeling that each song is actually a thought that I had in my head, and only now has it come to life. To me, the phrase Flying Thoughts best describes how it feels—the thoughts just come to me and transform into a song. The wordplay on the album cover is that the first and last letters are in pink, which subtly forms the phrase LYING THOUGHT, as if it’s a false thought—and that’s the core conflict.

  1. Your production blends human and AI-driven elements. How do you integrate these technologies in a way that still feels deeply personal and emotive?

LeviX: Yes, my creative process does incorporate AI, but I make sure to edit, change, and add my personal touch. I believe that the lyrics and emotional depth are what truly allow the listener to feel an emotional connection because, in my view, the emotions described in the songs are things everyone experiences—they just don’t always talk about it. Another thing that I think gives the listener an emotional connection is that, while the lyrics are deep, the rhythmic, melodic music speaks to everyone.

  1. Melodic house and EDM thrive on the impact of drops. Which track has your favorite drop, and what was your creative process in designing it?

LeviX: Yes, the drop is very important in this style of music, and it’s what, in my opinion, brings about 90% of the listener’s connection with the track. That’s why it’s so crucial for me to make sure the drops are catchy and structured well. My favorite drop, in any case, is in the track You’re Gone. The lyrics are very touching and tell a true story I experienced, and the drop itself is less bouncy and more dramatic and emotional, which makes it so special—especially because of the dramatic violins.

  1. You’ve described your sound as both energetic and motivational. How do you structure your tracks to evoke these feelings while maintaining a deep emotional connection?

LeviX: Yes, my sound is more energetic and emotional. To make it sound that way, I add a lot of motifs that contribute to it. For example, dramatic violins are something you’ll hear a lot in my tracks—I really love incorporating them. They bring a sense of emotional depth and drama. For instance, in the track Escape This Depth, it ends very unexpectedly with dramatic violins that close the song and take the listener on a journey.

  1. Did any specific artists or musical influences shape the sound of this album, or was it a purely instinctive evolution of your style?

LeviX: Yes, definitely—I’m influenced by a lot of artists. One of them is the greatest of them all, Avicii, whose poster hangs above my head in the studio to always remind me that that’s the top and where I need to aim. I believe he’s the only one who knew how to blend such emotional lyrics with such an energetic drop—genius! Another artist I’m deeply influenced by is David Guetta—I basically grew up on his music, and he always knows how to bring a hit that no one expected. I also think my own style ties it all together.

  1. Were there any unconventional production techniques or sound design elements that you experimented with on this album?

LeviX: Yes, actually, the music I’ve created so far was quite different from this album. In the past, I focused more on techno and trance within those realms. For this album, I tried to bring more melodic house and dubstep, and I found that I connect more with these styles. That said, I never forget where I came from and the foundation that gave me my connection to music, so soon, I’ll be releasing an EP with just techno and trance tracks.

  1. Many of your songs explore intense emotional landscapes. What is your approach to lyric writing—do you start with a concept, a melody, or personal experiences?

LeviX: Actually, I first start with a general idea—not the lyrics, just the concept of what I want to talk about. It’s really like the album title—just a collection of thoughts. So, the first step is to come up with an idea I want to explore, take a topic that’s been on my mind, and turn it into a song. All the tracks reflect personal experiences or feelings I go through, and I make sure they’re always authentic and truly represent what I’m feeling.

  1. “Infinity” plays with the idea of space and time dissolving—what inspired this song’s concept, and what emotions were you aiming to evoke?

LeviX: The song Infinity came last on the album, and it was exactly the track I wanted to use to close the album. The song was written that way because I truly feel that there’s no time or space between us, and that this entire reality is simply infinite. Our souls will always be here, even if not in the current body they reside in—we will continue to reincarnate in this world. The overall feeling of the song, both in terms of the lyrics and the music, gives off an atmosphere of space, futurism, and most of all, a sense of an endless track.

  1. “Escape This Depth” conveys a claustrophobic sense of struggle. Was this song based on personal emotions, or was it more of a reflection on collective anxieties?

LeviX: Yes, this song was definitely written about a personal experience. The song talks about how the world feels like it’s closing in on me, and all I want is to find a quiet corner to find comfort in. Life here, as I mentioned before, isn’t easy, especially for people with anxiety who struggle with it every day, and the general atmosphere doesn’t help. The song mostly expresses the feeling that the world is closing in on you, and it’s hard to breathe—that’s exactly what I experience in my daily life. The thing that helps me escape and truly find my peace is music.

  1. “Simple Moments” is a rare moment of calm and appreciation in an otherwise intense album. How important was it to include a song that encourages finding peace in small things?

LeviX: The song Simple Moments is really the only track on the album with somewhat more positive feelings. I felt that I had to include one song, for the listeners and especially for myself, that focuses on positive things because they do exist, and we need to learn how to see them. The song mostly talks about my longing for my childhood—when everything was simple, there were no intrusive thoughts, and the world felt more beautiful, until you grow up and truly understand the world. I think many people will be able to relate to this and connect with it.

  1. “Silent Song” seems to be about forbidden love, wrapped in whispers and secrecy. What drew you to this theme, and do you see it as a metaphor beyond just romantic relationships?

LeviX: Yes, Silent Song is definitely about forbidden love. Sometimes, you just know you’ve found your soulmate, but reality doesn’t allow it to happen, and it pulls you in different directions in life. The song speaks about a personal experience I went through, and it’s dedicated to someone specific. Due to circumstances, we couldn’t be together, but she will always be in my heart, and I’m sure the feeling is mutual. That’s the essence of what this song is meant to convey, and I’m sure many others will resonate with that feeling too.

  1. You’ve said that “Into The Abyss” holds the most meaning for you and truly reflects how you feel. What is it about this song—its lyrics, sound, or overall message—that makes it so deeply personal?

LeviX: Yes, Into The Abyss is really, in my opinion, the song that best describes all of my feelings. The lyrics in the chorus ask whether, in the depth of the abyss, I will find myself. I think it’s an important question because even when you’re deep in the abyss, you have to remember who you are and rise again. The energetic music with the dramatic violins express that you can always rise from anything and hold your head high. That’s why, in my view, this is the song that speaks to me the most out of all of them.

  1. If someone is listening to “Flying Thoughts” for the first time, what is the ideal setting or mindset you’d want them to have?

LeviX: Great question! I think there’s no specific mindset the listener needs to be in to truly enjoy the album. In fact, I believe if the listener approaches it without any particular expectations or a specific emotional state, they’ll be able to connect with each track. As I said earlier, I truly believe the experiences and feelings the album addresses can resonate with everyone because we all go through them.

  1. What has been the most rewarding reaction from fans since the album’s release?

LeviX: Honestly, the people close to me have really connected with it, and those who know the true stories behind the songs have been able to connect even more. But I don’t think I’ve received the most rewarding reaction yet, and I’m hopeful it will come soon because I truly believe in this album.

  1. With the album now out, how are you approaching its promotion? Any plans for remixes, live performances, or visual storytelling elements?

LeviX: To promote the album, I’m reaching out to content creators on platforms like TikTok and Instagram who can help me spread the word about the songs. I’ve already started the process, and I’m hopeful it will yield results. I’m not in a rush, though—I know the time for this album will come, and when it succeeds, it will be the perfect time for it.

  1. Now that you’ve released your debut album, what’s next? Are you already thinking about your next project, or are you taking time to fully embrace this moment?

LeviX: Honestly, the easiest thing is just to sink in and enjoy the existing product, but it’s important to keep working on new projects. So yes, right now I’m working on a few singles with live instruments. I’m also working on that mini album of techno-house-trance tracks I mentioned earlier. And there are plenty of surprises on the way!
