The latest release “Tranquillitas Ventus” by Berlin producer DJ Abyss is a deeper and straighter techno track with the spherical sounds he is known for, which give the track the typical touch that you know from the Berliner since his first album of the modern era from last year.
ABOUT: DJ Abyss, the legendary German producer and DJ, has been shaping the electronic music scene since 1991 with his innovative ideas and new sounds. Born in Frankfurt (Oder), he made a name for himself in Berlin in the mid-90s, becoming one of the most popular German DJs of his time. In fact, he was listed as one of the top 10 most popular German DJs in 1994, and was one of the only East German DJs to gain international recognition, alongside Hardy Hard alias DJ Hardsequencer from Dresden.
DJ Abyss rose to fame when he became a resident DJ at the Berlin cult club Tresor in 1995, propelling him to the upper league of German DJs. From 1998, he released several tracks on the Berlin label MFS, alongside other world-famous acts such as Paul van Dyk, Cosmic Baby, and Kid Paul.
In 2004, DJ Abyss retired from the active DJ and producer business to focus more on his family life, but he continued to inspire fans with his regular mixes on Soundcloud since 2012. In March 2013, he performed again for the first time at a large event created especially for him, reminding everyone of his incredible talent.
Fast forward to 2020, DJ Abyss headed back into the studio to remaster his early productions. These remastered tracks were released on CD and all streaming platforms in the USA in June 2021 and worldwide in July 2021 as part of his album “Paleance”. Since then, he has been releasing a series of new singles, proving that he still has what it takes to create fresh, innovative music that keeps the electronic music scene moving forward. DJ Abyss continues to be a true pioneer, and a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and an unwavering passion for music.
