Shane Arix, an Iranian-American EDM DJ, remixer and a record producer, recently launched his debut single titled “I Need Rehab” which is now available on iTunes and all other online stores. The Los Angeles based artist, is known for his exceptionally versatile music and bigbeat hits that pulse with melody, rhythm, diversity, depth and remarkable dimension.
“I Need Rehab” is absolutely perfect production. Masterful in its execution and a true sonic onslaught of blissful melody and a hard hitting dance floor shaking beat. While containing the most advanced and dizzying audio manipulation and edits, the song maintains a simple musical body lacking in most EDM.
Forget your radio-cheese pop or your repetitive club-dance music. This is the future right here. “I Need Rehab” heralds a new benchmark for quality and sophistication in commercially-viable electronic music. Shane Arix delivers a sequential progression of composition, artistic identity and production technique. For an artist on his debut, this is a phenomenal way to kick things off!
Technically, the production is flawless. The mixing is outstanding, and I am referring here to the multi-track mix to stereo. The quality of this mix rivals the best professionally produced EDM recordings. Each sound occupies its own space and is distinctly definable. The sense of depth and dynamics is also very well-defined. The sound layering is solidly maintained as overlapping sounds never compete with each other. The mix is comprised of a multitude of layers and elements resulting in a full and complex sonic environment that stays clean as a whistle!
Shane Arix’s musical logic and his composing theory, is also undeniable as he maintains a pop core with melodic refrains while expanding his electronic arrangement. This satisfies the listener’s appetite for easy-listening entertainment while never losing its cutting edge dance-floor flair.
It’s rare that a debut EDM single comes along that demands multiple listens. There is so much else clamoring for your attention, it seems nearly impossible to avoid distraction. Yet here Shane Arix has crafted something that cannot be denied, something that commands attention and promises to fully deliver total listening pleasure. With the release of “I Need Rehab” , Shane Arix has proven to be an oasis in a desert of EDM unoriginality!
The Shane Arix Story So Far:
Born in 1985 under the name Shayan Amiri, he was raised by his two parents in Tehran, Iran. His talent for music was discovered in his very early childhood; at the age of five he taught himself how to play piano and began early what would become a lifelong passion to entertain and connect to people through his natural ability to perform. While it was immediately clear that a lifetime of music could certainly be a valid option for a successful career one day in his future; his path to success is a true story of triumph over tragedy.
Forced to leave their homeland in 1994, his family sought refuge in Amsterdam, Holland. After eventually having their application for U.S. citizenship accepted in 1996; young Shayan and his family once again moved across the globe in search of a stable and better life. Settling in Los Angeles, Shayan continued his education and worked very hard to build a strong reputation in the electronic dance music scene by doing remixes and mixing & mastering for successful international artists.
After establishing himself as a vibrant and captivating entertainer, he would spend the next seven years developing his skillset and refining his technique. Gaining incredibly valuable experience engineering, producing, programming, mixing, creating, writing and any other aspect of music he could participate in and learn from, Shayan took his music to a new level year after year after year. In 2014, Shayan Amiri became officially known as Shane Arix in the music scene both locally and worldwide.
