Francis Groove was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. He started out as a turntablist, fusing rare groove R&B, Hip-hop and breakbeats. Groove started getting into electro music after his first trip to US at the age of 19. He discovered House music through the club scene of NYC, where his favorite spot was the Sound Factory Bar. Returning home he decided to play electronic music and has been around Europe playing his mixture of good House Music ever since.
Francis Groove who writes and produces his songs is now set to release his latest project, entitled “Real Life”, from which the lead single will be “Alright (Take My Hand)” featuring Spanish-born singer Tony. G.
“Alright (Take My Hand)” is a solid single, consistent with the Groove’s ability to produce quality sound. Music should inspire feelings, images, memories and movement, and this track inspires all of those elements. Poignant with a great beat and sung flawlessly, this song will appeal to all ages and genders, as well as transcend the genre boundaries between EDM, Neo-Soul and Pop.
Francis Groove stands out from other artists with his ability to write songs that are lyrically serious or even melancholy but on a beat that is infectious and still causes you to move your body while singing lines like, “When times get rough and you want to give up. Confusion is all around, so-called friends can’t be found…” And by the time you get to the chorus you will be truly uplifted by the spiritual connotations of its words: “I heard that voice in the night, saying it’s alright. You said take my hand tonight, everything will be alright…”
Adding the voice of Tony.G to the track is another stroke of genius from Groove as it’s like having a double chocolate cheesecake and pouring rich, warm, caramel syrup on top; making “Alright (Take My Hand)” become a hot combination of lyrics that are meaningful and a beat that dancers will groove, spin and flip on. Hopefully a video is done to this song to add that visual dimension to its groovy uplifting vibe.
Francis Groove has cultivated an effort that resonates with reflection, redemption and renewal. The vocals, together with the snappy basslines and crystalline synths will wash the weariness clean out of your soul after a hard day at the office. And at the end of it all, you will be left with no choice but to hit replay…again…and again!
